Physics Relay Committee Message

Veterans of this competition know to take all statements at the prize giving with a pinch of salt. On this occasion it was the statement that Rude Mechanicals and Maths yobs had tied for first place in the age related prize. Following a later steward's enquiry, the placing of 3rd and 4th teams was reversed, which meant that Maths yobs were outright winners in that class and Maths ASBOs were still winners of the mixed class. Luckily, as the Rude Mechanicals had not been there to take their prize we did not have to ask for it back! Congratulations to Institute Idols for winning the ladies class and preventing a Maths clean sweep two years in a row, but well done to Maths for coming very close. Commiserations to IEPPP whose second leg runner appeared 5 minutes after the start of the race, having just finished playing football!

It was good to see numbers back up, possibly due to the return to Week 9 for this year. Thanks as ever to all the people who helped marshall on the day, Theo Jamie and Patrick from Maths, Steve and Jon from Physics. Time to start training for nex year!
