( Observant readers will notice this is virtually the same as last years opening paragraph.) Team numbers were similar to last year, with as usual 60% of the entries arriving within 36 hours of the start of the race. A noticably low turn out from the ladies this year, no ladies team and only one mixed entry. Once again it was the last team to enter who won over all, with three of the same team members as last year, and also in a repeat of last year the 'Age/Gender' corrected prize went to the mathemeticians, with two of last year's runners. Frank was muttering about changing the formula next year, this was partly my fault for making him do the first leg. Thanks as usual to all the helpers on the day: Penny for taking over the timing, Rob for helping put out flags, Graham for collecting them in, and Tim and Bill for stopping traffic. Hope to see many you next year.
